Stalin Attends Funeral Of Zhdanov
Received Friday, 11 a.m. _ MOSCOW, Sept. 2. Marshal Stalin, with the highest Communist chiefs, attended General Zhdanov 's burial ceremony, which lasted nearly an hour. Mr. Molotov, in a funeral oration, told the huge mourning . crowd in the Red Sauare "that the Bolshevik Party and the Soviet State had lost one of its most beloved sons, who was a true pupil and a talented comrade in the arms of the great Stalin. General Zhdanov's life had been an example of supreme service to his people for 33 years." Mr. Molotov credited General Zhdanov with crushin'g "the last dregs of the Trotskyites, Bukharinites and other foreign intelligence supporters and agents."
