M.P. Who Was Too Busy To Re-register Car
AUCKLAND, September 1. Fines to'talling £2 l()s were imposed on J. T. Anderton, M.P., for Auckland Central, for three traffic offences, by Mr. H. Jenner ,Wily, S.M. Defendant, who did not appear, was charged with having an uniicensed motoracar, having no driver's licence, and failing to xiroduce a warrant of fitness. • Traflie Iuspector Ivnight, of the Oity Council Traffic 'Department, said he stopped defendant 's car on July 10. The car did not have a current licence and defendant, who was driving, was u'nable to produce a warrant of fitness or a driving licence. . , Defendant told witness he had been away from Auckland and had been too busy- aua "wa forgotten to have the car re-registered.
