PETONE DEFEAT OTAKI-RAHUI SENIORS

The annual inter-club game between Otaki-Rahui and Petone was played at Petone on Saturday, and ended in a victory for the latter by 15 po.nts to 11. Tries for Otaki-Rahui by W. Johnson, T. Henry and B. Wallace, and a conversion by W.- Taratoa, made up the 11 ponts. Play was keeii "'1 and" har^' throughout, both teams being fairly evqnly matched, and the game proved enjoyable to the large crowd of omookers. OtakiRahui report. having spent a very enjoyable day, a dinner being given from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by a "smoko," while dancing was also, indulged in. At the dinner Mr. Ian. Harvey welcomed the visitors, and Mr. Ken. Merwood suitably acknowiedged the compliments paid.
