The four Allied Military Governors m.et in Berlin again today to continue their discussion on ciifrency and the lifting of the blockade. - Their conference followed meetings of the three groups of fourspower experts, who met to carry out the specihc tasks assigped to them by the Military Governors. The experts diseUssed transport, finance and economics, and made recemmendations for presentation to the meeting of the Governors. A committee consisting of Britain's Sir .Eric Coates, the American Mr. Jack Bennett, France's M. Beauliu and Rus^ sia's Mr. Maletin was given the
task of formulating a single Berlin cuiTency system. The transport committee included the British and United States Dep.uty Military Governors, Major-General Nevil Bro\vn-John and George Hays, and the chief of the Soviet Military _ Government's transport division, Major-General Kvaschin. Their discussions concerned the technicalities of lifting the blockade. The economics committee discussed trade. The committees met at the Allied Control Council buildings, where, as elsewhere in Berlin, the Soviet flag was flown at half-mast for General Zhdanov. Beuter's diplomatic correspondent says that the chairmanship of the Governors' meeting will rotate daily.
