This evening the cpntre was mpre than 100 miles north of North Cape.
Tropical storms are normally experienced in New Zealand between. November and March and fhey yery farely reach so far southward at this time of the year. Strong northeast gales raged over the Tasman tpday and the departure from Sydney for Auckland of the fiyingboat Auckland was postponed 24 hours until tomorrow. An Australian Nation al Airways Skymaster experienced relatively light winds afSOOO and 9.000 feet 011 its flight from Sydney to Auckland and return today. The Works Pepartment auxiliaiy ketch New Golden ITind, bound from Rapuf Island to Auckland, reported northeast winds of mpre than 50 miles an hour when 300 miles northeast of North Cape tpday.
