MRS. R. I. GRIFFITH
The death occurred at hei>residence, Kimberley Road, on Saturday of Jyfrs. Irene Ruby Qi-iffifh, wife of Mr. Lyndon GrifRth. She was well-known in Levin, where she' had resided" for a long perio'd, qnd aiso'in Otaki. Born in Wellington 62 years ago, Mrs. Griffitlr was a daughter of Mr. Joseph John Kitching. At one period she was a milliner to a leadIng drapery es'tabl'ishment in Gtafd, Mr. Griffith then being on a farjn at Rahui with. his brpther. She was married at ^yellingtpn in 1921 and tliep .came with i>er husba'nd to reside in Levin. Mrs. Griffith was ,a founda'tion member " . of the Kimberley Women's Institute, taking a keen interest in its actiyities and in its drama circle. She ' was also a member of the Levin branch of the Women's Division of Federat,e*d Farmers. Left to mourn their loss are her husband and family of three sons, Lypdon, Allan and Colin. They haye recpiyed 'the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their bereayempnt.
