MEEBOFBXE. August 30. A.n elaborate plot laid to sabotage a meeling of 500 clerks protestiua against Cominunist intluence in theii union was foiled when the members disregarde.l bogus messages. The Aua ti'alian Eabour Party industrial grouji within the union arlvertised the timo and piace of the meeting, but huudreds of clerks received bogus notices in the mail that the meeting had been trans terred to anothef hall. Fower than 30 peo])le were deceived, and when thesc arrived at the wrong hall Labour Party officiais were waiting with ears to take them to the eoi'roet plaee. The chairman said he had proof that nearly! 1000 clerks liad received the false' notices.
