Card Winners The card evenings being conducted each week in Laurvig's Hall by the Poutu Pah Committee are stil'l attracting a good following. Last week's winners were Mrs. E. Thorne and Mr. Jacob Hicamate. 90th Birthday Cele.brated The 90th birthday of Mrs. Crowther, of Clapham Street, was celebrated recently when members of the family from all parts of the "North Island gathered at her resi'dence to wish her "many h^ppy returns." Among . those present were R/[r. and. iMrs. J. Crowther, Mr. and Mrs. C. Crowther, Mrs. J. Young, Mrs. and Miss Cape, Mrs. Parkinson and Mrs. Coe, all of Palmerston North; Mr. and Mrs. E. and Mr. H. Williams, Mrs. Mack, Miss Lowe and Mrs. L. Holmes, all of Wellington; Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Tippler, Carterton; Mr. and Mrs. T. A. JenningS', Mrs. Atkins, Misses O. and T. Atkins, Rotorua; and Mrs. Johnassin, Lower Hutt: The celebrations extended over the weekend.
