DANNEVIRKE, Aug. 23.Five rfesidents of Hastings were mjurecf, one seriously, on Satur;-. day afternoon when ' a car j iir which they were riding crafehed into the end of a bridge on the main highway at the northern boundary of Dannevirke and left the road. All are now.in the:'Dannevirke Hospital. They are; John Shepherd, agec 15, mild concussion and lacera:ib ns; John Steele, 16, fractured tkull; Rodney Nightingale, 20 Donald Herbert Kennedy, 26, an-: Gladys Shepherd, 17, all concus Sion and minor lacerations. ,The party was returning tc Hastings after Shepherd, Steele arid Nightingale had conipeted in a road cycling race. The condition of the injured is satisfactory.. -
