WELLINGTON, Aug. 22. A- New Zealmjd womCn's aoftba-M team is to ruake a tour of Australia iu March next. ' Thiu was auiiounced at the annual uieeting of the New Zealand Softball Assobiatiou on Raturday "yhexi further det-ails of the trip were made available. A Bouth Afriean team is expected to be making a siinilar tour at the same time. • • Tbe Associatiou controlliug each member selected for the New Zealahd team must find £25 as a contriHiif ion* to wai'ds the cost of the tour. A selectof is to be appointed by the New, .Zealatid Asspciation 's Councii. The team of i.T will be accompaxiied by a manager and also by a chaperone and coach, whijb the presideut of the Associatiou, Mr. A Tenkius, will make the trip as i^-reprc;, sentative. A North-Bonth match will he held ',Ti the TTutt Yalley and the .Tohn-Lennon trophy game at Auckland. Wellington is to J>e askcd to accept a women' •; tournament at the Christmas-Ndw' "®eav' period. Headifen; treasurer, Mr. J. P. Coyle; Xorth Tsland Council, Messrs. R. Dormer, W. E. Y. Lowe, Miss B. Bridgfe'n South Island Council to be appointed later. Tbe Governor-General is to bt asked to accept the position oi patron.
