Tinned Butter Wanted in India
AUCKLAND, Aug, 17, Having failed in a similar piission in Australia, Mr. G^ T. Nuik, U- Bombay businessman, arrived from Sydney recently looldng for cftnned butter. "1 havre seen your tinned butter on arrival in India and it is pretty good," he sa'id. "I am in the market here for botli tinned butter and condensed milk in large quantities. " Mr. Naik said that the British Food Ministry had allocated only 40 tons of butter to last for.six months throughout India. Bombay was the only centre that manufactured butter for eanning, and had allocated a small quota for other parts of India. Local production and imports from Britain were totally inadequate.
