Town Falls To Kashmir Raiders
Received Thursday, 10.20 a,.m. NEW DELHI, Aug. 18. An official Indian Army communique announces the fall of SkardU, 100 miles north-east of Srinagar, to anti-Government tribesmen raiders. Kashmir State i'orces have been guarding Skardu since November and sheltering refugees, who sought protection after raiders over-ran the surrounding areas.
