Enjoyable Concert At Levin Farm
If the hearty cheers given by the audience at the conclusion was an indicatiqn of their appreciation, then last night's concert at the Levin Farm can go down as another triumph for the LeVin Women's Institute, which periodically visits the institutiop to give. the inmates entertainment. that they would not _-therwise enjoy. In thanking the institute for pro- . viding another bright show, Mr. G. T. Wyllie thanked the aftists, Miss Loma Hepworth, whose pupils contribute'd the bulk of the items, Mrs. J. W. Glark for arranging the programme, Miss D. .Cleal for playing the piano for a community sing, Mrs. R. Maher accompanist for the solos, and all who had contributed to the programme. He specially thanked Messrs. Watts Motors, Ltd., for providing free transport to all entertainments. Proceeding^ opened with community singihg under the leadership of Mr. Wyllie, with Miss D. Cleal at the piano. National dancing filled a large part of the programme an'd the Items and performers were-well received, while bright interludes were a . further community sing with Mrs. Harringnon leading, and a sketch by members of the ins-titute. Those contributing to the dancing programme were: — Jill Clarke, Kyra King, Nola Trotter, Terese Quinn, Jeannette Cottle, Delva Horn, Kenneth and Alistair Shaw, Edwin Maher and Colleen Dobson. Other items were: — Recitations: Terese Quinn, Donald Shaw an'd Mrs. J. Perigo; songs: Mrs. Harrington; pipe music: Mr. A. Yorston; and a sketch by institute members.
