Birthday Celebrated By Ohau Women's Division
Celebrating its -14th bii'thdaj recently was the Ohau branch o: the Women's Division of Federatec Farmers. Mrs. J. A. Kilsby presidec over a large attendanee and extended a welcome to the visitors present. Much apprfeciated items wen contributed by Mrs. Styles, of Otaki recitations; Mrs. Greenwood, songs and Mary HUI and Stancey Bowling dances. ' The provincial president, Mrs. R W. Jenkins, after congratulatin^ the branch on attaining its 14tl birth'day, lit the candles on thc cake, while they were extinguishec by the provincial secretary, Mrs Clyde Saint. The cake was cut bj the Dominion treasurer, Mrs. H. J McLeavey. A varied display of antiques wa; admired fby all present. It wa: reported that a school of instruction was to be held in Levin or September 15. A stall to raise fund: for parcels to be sent to Britair realise'd £2 ls 6d. Afternoon teE was served by the hostesse: for the afternoon, Mesaames Candy Dittmer, Fanning, Heapey, Walton Burnell, Frew and Greenwood.
