Rabbit Skin Values Again Depreciate

A large catalogue of rabbit skins was submitted by the Otago Farmers' Co-operative Association at its sale this week, when values show£d another substantial decline. Good winter skins were oh a par with the last sale, while spring does declined up to 20d per 1b. Spring bUcks declined up to 6d per lb. and hatters grades Were down a like ainount. The : following is the range of prices per lb.:— Small, to 19d; inferior broken, to ld; third broken, to 61d,; second broken, td 82d;* first broken, to 98'd; milky, 64 to'106d; summers, 62 to 71d; spring bucks, 96-2- to 113d; spring does, 89£ i to 95d; outg. bucks, 111 to l44d; oUtg. does, 101 to 125'd; spotty bucks, 133 td 144d; spotty does, 147 to 170d; winter bucks, 152 to, 196d; 'winter does, 158 to 228d; furrier does, to 210d; racks, to 67d; runners, to 45^- d; autumris, to 88^-d; late auts. and incmgs., to 98d; fatty, to 95d; summer fawns, * to 60d; autumn fawns, to 115d; winter fawns,- to 130d; hare. skins, 100 to 135d; hair, to 50id; weevilly, to 35^-d; summer black, to 48-^'d;-, autumn black, to 70d; winter black, to 210d. The following prices ard per skiri: — First large ferrets, to 18s lld; first small ferrets, to 12s 3d; inferior j ferrets, to 5d; first stoats, to 13s 6'd;. inferior stoats to average 3d to 4s. The next sale is scheduled for August 24 and skins are to be ih the store by 5 p.m. on August 17.
