W.I. Farewells Member

A farewell, afternoon was tendered recently' by the Poroutawhao Women's Institute' to Mrs. Ivan Anderson, who will shortly be leaving the district. Mrs. Carle welcomed the vistors and members and said that it was very -gratifying to see so many present. It was a tribute to the popularity of the guest of honour. Items were given by Mesdames Jutciiffe, Green, B. Rowe and Thornton,, the accompanisl^ being Mrs. Tait. Community singing created a happy atmosphere. Prior to the serving of afternoon tea, Mrs. Carle presented Mrs. Anderson with a beajitiful crystal bowl, and a dainty spray, the work of Mrs. Spiers, a$ a. token of esteem.
