First Rep. Badminton Match Of Season

The first representative badminton fixture of the season wiil be played on Saturday night, when iiwo Horowhenua teams will engage in a match with the Wellington Association. The Horowhenua teams are as under: — A team.— Men: H. Benning, J. Bryant, L. Staples and M. Staples. Ladies: Miss M. Fuller, Miss M. Karauti, Mrs. V. Porter and Miss M. Bevan. B team.— Men: K. Davies, W. McMillan, D. Honore ancl B. Antciiff. Ladies: Mrs. W. Phillips, Mrs. L. Leger, Mrs. JZ. Phillips and Miss J. Piggott. . Play commences at 7 p.m., the A teams playing at Ohau and the B teams at Manakau. Inter-Club Competition Only one of the two games set down for play this .week in the second round of the Horowhenua inter-club competition has so far . oeen finalised, Manakau still having to meet Shannon. Levin v. Koputaroa Levin, securing 15 out of the 24 games, had a comfortable win ovet Koputaroa. Individual results, with Levin players mentioned fifst in each instance, were: — Men's singles: K.
