FORTHCOMING GAMES
Last Saturday saw the final games in the men's competition for the Nicoison Shield. Te Horo emerged the winners, losing only one game out of thirteen played. Levin were the runners-up and were the only team to beat Te Horo. The men will play one more j.ound as a sealed handicap. In~the ladies' competition, the position has reached an interesting stage with only three points between the four leading teams. 'Horowhenua supporters will witness some good hockey when the North A and B teams meet South A and B teams on Saturday, August 28. September 4 will be the big day in Levin with four representative games being played. Rangitikei B and C teams will. play Horowhenua A and B teams in the ladies' section, while Feilding A and B will play Horowhenua A and. B; in the men's section. September 18 is set down for a ladies' seven-a-side and a men's five-aside tournament for affiliated clubs.
