HOROWHENUA HAVE VICTORY OVER MANAWATU
Horowhenua beat Manawatu by 19 goals to 9 in the B grade match played on Saturday. In spite of a wet court and a greasy ball, the game was on the whole fairly fast and there was some good spells of neat passing. In the defence, J. Parr played a very good game, with good interception and well-directed passes. It> is a pity that this piayer is unabie to attend the practices of Ihe representative teams held during the week. The Horowhenua C team beat Manawatu C by 11 goals to 9. This was a very creditable performance, as this team was on the whole younger than the visitors and has had little opportunity to practice as a team.
