Fire Brigade Matters
At the monthly meeting of the j Otaki Volun'teer Fire Brigade reference was made to the unfortunate 1 circumstances regarding the cover-! ing up of fire plugs by workmen cn , the Main County Road. It was agreed to ask the Boroughj Council to arrange to have the i matter rectified. The opinion wasj reiterated that residents would be| doing themselves a service if they inspected any fireplugs adjacent to dwellings and reported apparent neglect, or, if possible, attended to the cleaning of the plugs themselves. j The receipt of a copy of the by,'laws was also acknowledged^" and. it . was agreed to., ask the Borough Council to bring certain - shortcomings regarding fire escapes' before the;notice of the buLding inspector. • : V '
