Personal Mr. aird Mrs. S. Denton, of Palmerston North, were weekend visitors to Otaki. Mr. and Mrs. W. Wilson and Mrs. J. Ballinger, of Otaki, were visitors to Christchurch last weekend. I Mrs. N. N. Barron, of Matene I Street, Otaki, who ' has been an inmate of Palmerston North Hospital, has returned to her home. Constable W. A. Calwell yesterIday commenced three months' retiring leave prior to severing his connection with the Police Force. The appointment of a successor to Constable Calwell has not yet been announced. The Rev. E. T. Olds, president of Conference of the Methodist Church of N.Z., will- be visiting Otaki on Thursday. He will deliver an address at a service to be held in Wesley Church ' on Thursday evening, and will be the guest of Rev. and Mrs. R. Grice. I I New Businesses , i It is expecied that two new business ventures will be announced shortly, one being a watchmaker and the other a plumber.
