With a 50-mile cycle race for, junior riders to be run'in October,: starting from Otaki, interest was: keen when members of the Otaki A.A. and C." Club stage'd a time trial from Otaki Railway to Te Horo and back at the weekend. Some good efforts resulted and as there was only a shade over two and a-half minutes' between the fastest and slowest times recorded,, the riders are apparently in good shape to commence • training in earnest. The riders and their times for the 'distance, approximately seven miles, are as follows: — Searancke,' 20 mins. 20 secs.; Smfth", 20 mins. 50 secs.; D.Deakin, 21 mins. 15*seds.; Best, 21 mins. 20 secs.; Brooks, 21 mins. 55 secs.; Julius, 21 mins. 55 secs.; Bartosh, 22 mins. 5 secs.; Collis, F. Deakin and Walsh, 23 mins.
