TWO INJURED IN CAR COLLISION
AUCKLAND, August 8. The All Black captain, F. E. Allen, had a lucky escape from injury when the car in which he was travelling was involved in a collision at the intersection of Paiterson and Atkin Avenuos, Mission Bay, this afternoon. The car, which was driven by his brother, Frank Allen, was struck by another car and capsi/.ed. His mother, Mrs. Florenee Beatrice Allen, aged 60, sulEered spinal injuries and shock and was a,dmitted to hospital" whexe her . Coildition'Henig.hU'is serious. Another^ passeiigef in the^car, John Albon, aged ,42,-sulfeied confiussion. lle was admit'ted to' hospital 'but his condition is not serious.
