Owners Of Stock Found Wandering Fined

Charged before Mr. H. J. Thompson, S.M., in the Levin Court with permitting his horse to wander in Power Street, J. J. Procter, of Weraroa Road, was fined . 10s. Court costs were 10s. &nd' solicitor's fees 10s 6d. The prosecution was brought by fche Levin Borough Council and evidence was given by the borough overseer, Mr. E. Lycette,_ that defendant had claimed the horse at the borough pound. Another charge involving wandering stock was brought by the Levin Borough Council against E. F. Skilton, of Cambridge Street, who was charged with permitting two cows to be at large. He was fined 10s, court costs being 10s. 1
