Born in Otaki over 40 years ago, he was the fourth son of, the late Mr. and Mrs. Timothy O'Rourke, and after completing his education at St. Joseph's Convent, Otaki, and St Bede's College, Christchurch, 'he jpined his father in sheepfarifiifig pursuits. Following his marriage to Miss E. D. M. McGiil in 1934, he took over his presept holding. Mr. O'Rourke was ,a pronjinent member of the Otaki Golf Club and of other local organisations, and his sudden passing is a severe blow. to the community. ' . /■' ^ Besides his wife and family of two young. soiis, three brothers, Messrs. T. O'Rourke (Otaki) , C. O'Rourke (Wellington) and "H. O'Rourke (Owhango) , and three 'sisters, Mesdames P. Harper (Te Horo),'N. Chamberlain (New Plymouth) and W. D'Ath (Otaki) , are left to mourn their loss, and they [will have .-the sympathy of a host of friends in their sad bereavement. - • • .
