One of the most stirring films I have seen for a long vvhile is that of "Battle for JViusic." The story deals with the life and death ■struggle for survival of the London. PhilharmoniC' Orchestra. In "Battle for Music" we hear some of tlie finest music 'of all time, such as "Beethoven's . 5th Symphony," "Mozart's 40tfi Symphony, "Rach-. maninoff's No. 2 Piano Concerto," and many more. ~ ■ We see and hear Australia'S own Eileen Joyce as a solo pianis.t;' with' the orchestra; also many Well. known personalities appear in this'5 remarkable film, such as J. B. Priestley, Sir Thomas Beecham, Malcolm Sargeant, Jack Hylton, etc. We hear air raid sirens as the .enemy is overhead, but still the London . Philharmonic OrclieStra plays on to a packed hall. Then at the finish we see their final triu'mph, and we le'ave- the theatre, our hearts filled with gladness that we were privileged to see such a fine British picture.
