Methodist Guild Meets
The usual monthiy meeting of the St. John's Methodist Ladies' Guild was held recently, Mrs. A. C. Kennerley, who presided, leading the devotions. On account of the bad weather, the attendance was not large and a number of apologies were received. Correspondence was dealt with and a number of letters from grateful recipients of food parcels in England were read. The visiting committee reported that 37 visits had been made to aged or sick members during the month., It was decided to hold an- Old Folks at Home in the Bibl^ Class rooms early kj September. The annual sale of work is to be held in the Centitry Hall on Tuesday, September 28. Church doors hostesses were elected,' after which afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Plaster and Mudgway. Themeeting concluded with the Benediction.
