Cup series was to have been compieted by last Saturday, but owing to The inclement weather all play was cancelled. Wherever possible, owing to this competition now being behinfi schedule, all players are asked to arrange their respective games in the weekends available before the fourth round commences.' Top Dog Trophies After a very even) tussle which ended on the 18th green, the challenging pair, A. Saunders and J. Corbishley, were successful in wresting the Top Dog trophies from the holders, S. C. Franklin and B. J. Eagar, over last wee.kend. The challengers won only by the slender margin of one up, but their consistency in low scoring proved just too big a hurdle for the holders. All four contestants are to be congratulated on their high standard of play. Next Saturday's Games The second round of the Karakamea Cup competition will be played . next Saturday afternoon, and in conjunction with it a fourball best ball bogey competition. This type of game is always popular and a large entry of players will be expected on Saturday afternoon next, draw for play commencing at 12.45 to 1.15 p.m. sharp. Inter-Club. Fixture , * k • Seventeen men and five lady members of the Levin Club journeyed to Pukerua Bay on Sunday afternoon to play the annual fixture between the two clubs. pespite the perfect conditions prevailing locally, play at the southern course was of a real wintry order, sleety rain an'd a cold wind having a dampening effect. The hospitality of the Pukerua Bay Club was again very much in evidence. Singles only were played, the Levin men's team winning only two games, with atwo halves, while the ladies had a more even match, winning two of the five played.
