Bride In Graceful Gown Of Lace Over Satin

*St. Mary's Church, Levin, was the scene of the wedding recently of Betty Ellen, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ian Taylor, Heatherlea, Levin, to Harold Lucien, second son of Mrs. and the late Mr. G. Marshall, of Tararua Road, Levin. The Rev. G. B. Stote-Blandy offic'iated. The bride, who entered the church escorted, by her father wore a graqefuT fully-trained gown of white witchcraft lace over satin, made with a fitting bodice, high neckline finished with a Peter Pan collar, long fitting sleeves and new style waistline of three folds, finished at the back with a double flounce bustle effect edged with lace. Her beautiful white chantilly lace veil formed a second train, which fell from a Coronet of net leaves and real flowers. She carried a bouquet of shell pink winter roses, orchids and Cyrtanthus. The bridesmaids were Misses Tui Bird and Kathleen Carle, No^ne Taylor acting as flower girl. They were froeked alike in picture frocks of; lavender butterfly spangled nihon over pink taffeta,, made with fitting bodices. Rucked frills formed a vee back and front, with very full skirt and lavender net mittens. They carried bouquets of carnations, pale rose chrysanthemums and cyclamenn and wcrre small halfmoon sprays of similar flowers in their hair. :The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Lindsay Marshall, his brother, while Mr. Tom Wilson, of Invercargill, acted as groomsman. Messrs. R. _ Marshall and P. Walton were usliers. During the signing of the" register a solo, "I'll Walk Beside ■ You," was sung by Mrs. E. R, TayLorhjhe bride's aunt) . "After the ceremony the 130 guests were received at a luncheon reception by Mr. and Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. Marshall. For tra^lling, the bride chose a nigger brown frock embroidered at the neckline with pale pink and green sprays, over which was worn a beige colourr ed new-length coat, trimmed with a deep fitch fur collar. Her accessories were of nigger brown. The young couple's future home will be In. Levin.
