Arbor Day To Be Observed Tomorrow
Arbor Day will be officially* observed throughout the'Dominidn tomorrbw. Locally, arrangemerits', have been made by the Levin Borough Council and Levin and' District Beautifyirig Society td plant byer ioo hydrangea cuttings alohg| the westerri and northern boundd-| ries of the triangle reseiwe, opposite the Public Gardens. As in the past, groups of children from tlie .Levin Primary Schdbl, Levin Conveht SChool and HorowhenUa College will carry out' most of the planting, but it is ' hoped that members of local organiSations and citizens generally will also join the proeeedings. The' ceremony commences' at 2 p.m. The Atbor Day project of twd years ago— the planting of flowering cherries along the street adjacent tq the Public Gardens — is now showing its wbrth. These trees have shown good growth .and in a short time will be a picturesque sight.
