MRS. OLIVE BLANCHE COTTLE

The news of the passing of Mrs. Olive Blanche Cottle, which occurred suddenly at her residence, Ihakara, early this morning, came as a shock to her relatives and many friends in the district. Mrs. Cottle, who was a daughter of Mr. Rabert Edwards, was born at Mangaroa in 1886. She was marrie'd in Wellington to Mr. Arthur Ernest Cottle and some 30 years ago came to Levin with her husband and settied on a farm at Ihakara. Mrs. Cottle took a keen interest in th'e community life of that distifict, and few functions have been heid in the Ihakara Hall with which she has not been associated. She wqs well -known throughout the Levin district and made many. friends. Left to mourn their loss are her husband, three daughters, Mesdames Thawley (Levin), Olivecrona (Hutt Valiey) and Newnham (Aokautere)', and> three sons, Messrs. G- A. Cottle (Levin), H. E. Cottle (Levin) and R. Cottle (Ohaupo) . They will receive much sympathy in their bereavement.
