These statistics are contained in the annual report of the Transport Department tabled befoi'e the House of Represontatives. ' Traflic accidents in 1947 where a scliool pupil was injured were sligluly more numerous 'than in 1946, both among pedestrians and among cyclists. " It is felt that if the parents, particularly When accompanied by their children, were to observe the rules of the road, the children would follow their 'good example. In this way a reducti.on in these accidents might he brought about.
