Appeal To Public Service Board Withdrawn

WELLINGTON, July 23. The Assistant Director of Marketing, Mr. H. H. Innes, has forwarded to the secretary of the Public Service Appeai Board a withdrawal of the appeai lodged by him against the appointment in March last of Mr. L. C. Webb as Director of Marketing. Before assuming the position of Assistant Director of Marketing, Mr. Innes was Director of Milk Marketing. It is understood that Mr. Innes has also advised the Minister of Marketing of his intention to resjgn from the Public Service. The Public Service Appeai Board has to hear an appeai lodged by Mr. J. P. Lewin, Assistant Director of Priee Control, against Mr. Webb's appointment in November, 1946, as Director of Stabilisation.
