High Prices At War Assets Auction

Tfiere wus a good attendance of buyers at the auction sale conducted by Mr, E. Tornfins.on on befialf of the War Assets Realisation Board at Paiaka Camp yesterday. Some indieation as to the number present can be formed from the fact that -there were 95 cars parked in the vicinity of the camp. Bidding was brisk and the prices realised were high. Considerable interest • was taken i in the five-roomed cottage offered for auction and bidding commence'd at £100. ,The buiiding was eventually sold for £201. Twenty-six 10 ft. by 7 ft. huts were sold and these realised from £13 up to £17 aecording to their eondition. One month was allowed for the removal of the huts and cottage. * / A large . assortment of sundry artieles was offered and realised prices almost as high as rfew goods.
