Badminton Association Makes Rankings For Season

The Horowhenua Badminton Association has now completed its rankings for the current season. They are as follows,the first six men and six ladies in each' case forming the representative team to play in the forthcoming match with Welling- , ton : —

Ladies: Miss M. Fuller (Shannon), Miss M. Karauti (Ohau), Mrs. V. Porter (Levin), Miss M. Bevan (Ohau), Mrs. W. Phillips (Manakau), Mrs. L. Leger . (Levin) , Mrs. K. Phillips (Manakau) , Miss J. Piggott (Shannon), Miss J. Parr (Shannon), Mrs. B. Baxer (Koputaroa), Mrs. D. Mather (Manakau) and Mrs. B. Antcliff (Levin). Men: Messrs. H. Benning (Ohau) , J. Bryant (Manakau), M. Staples (Manakau), L. Staples (Manakau), K. Davies (Levin), W. McMillan (Koputaroa) , D. Honore (Ohau) , B. Antcliff (Levin), V. Tippler (Shannon), E. Baker (Koputaroa), H. Pope (Shannon) and K. Pemberton (Koputaroa) . The proeess of ranking commenced last week when teams chosen from the association's northern an-d -southern clubs played a series of trial matches. From these games a selection of players was made and they played ranking games at Koputaroa on Wednesday night, j resulting in the above placings.
