Local Indoor Bowlers Surprise Visitors

The Levin Indoor Bowling Club continues to progress and the attendances are well maintaiiied. Play is held in the Weraroa Hall each Tuesday and Thursday night and on Saturday afternoons. An all-day visit is anticipated next Saturday from the Vogelmorn Club, Wellington, and a good attendance of local players is' desired. At a recent tournament in Levin, a visitor, Mr. Welsh, secretary of the Wellington Indoor Bowling Association, skipped the winning rink. In his remarks after the tourney, and in a report to the association, Mr.- Welsh said he was surprised at the high standard of play shown by so young a club. It is hoped that in the very near future that a return visit to Wellington will be made, in which case the club is assured of a good outing.
