Women's Institute Play
The Leyih "Yypmep's -Ipstitute last night entered* its play, "Men Are Missing," jn the Brifish Drama League's festival at Palmerston North. The adjudicator, Mr. Ghbrjpl Toyne, said that though the interpretation of the characters was npt- always complpte it was a well chosen play. Mrs. K. Black as Hilary 'Nield, % an actress, gave a good clear-cut performance. She had good dictipn and mqved wjfh grace. Mf§. K- R.Qwa^F? aS Gsbaldeston, thq vicarJS wife, gave a good characterisation as di'd Mrs. G". Hesp as Madame Selpnik, the vwife of a foreign diplomat, apd Mrs. K. Kirkaldie as the first pfrgpger. Others'w.hp took parts W.e?e Mis"s J. Perigo ,and Ntes'dames C. Nichol, N. W'ilkifisbn/ J. Perigo/O. Huds'on, W. Wilsori and G. C. Banfield. The pr'pdiicer was Mra- A, A. Sayillp.
