TomljmiQh, Qf Lpvin, whp was ,a former headmaster of wairarapa Bqys' College and a spnior inspector to the Education 'Board,* cofnmented that he had difficujty in making an award. Howeyer, the Levin team, consisting of Messrs. C. W. K. Fyffe, H. A. Fenn and N. Thornley, was awarded the honoqrs thrQUgh its insistence that cpmpulsory military serviee was* not* in the best interests Qf New Zpaland. At the conclusioh oi the contest, supper was di§0PHsed and arrangements made for a return contest in Wellingfoh? *
