Received Fridav, 8.50 p.m. TOKIO, July 16. Seven American soldiers and six Japanese were arrested following lafgeseale orgafiised thefts of Fnited States Army eiothing. An American eounterintelligenee agent was wounded in a running gun battle. Operating 011 a tip Army agents at Kobe elosed in on a quarterinaster's wareliouse in the earlv morning but failed to Iin.lt a eontraband loaded truek wherein the gangsters fled firingat tlie agents. The truek was later found abandoned aiul a searcli in the neighbouring area resulted in the arrests.
