Important Decision On Urban Farm Lands

P'ollowing an inspectio'n of urban farm lands, the Otaki Borough Council decided at a meeting on Wednesday night that an urban farm lands list be prepared m accordance with the provisional list submitted to the meeting. There was one dissenting voter. The provisional list submitted showed that 28 European and six jMaori holdings had been inspected, j eouncillors thereby making themselves conversant with the properties under discussion. It was fesolved that one application to be placed on the list be not allowed, ! that five European and three | Maori holdings be left on- the list. The decision means that, in the ■opinion of the council, the lands ' are fit for sub-division, or that they are likely to be required for bimding purposes within a pefiod of nve years,
