Competition Hockey Games Continued
The Horowhenua Hockey Associat'.on's competition games were continued in fine weather on Saturday. . Coilege and Textile B appeared to bQ eveniy matched and it was only after a scramble in the circle thai the Textile team scored the winning goal. . Both ieams are showing a vast improvement in their play. Levin Ladies and Textiles A gave the spectators a very interesting ganie. From the start it appeared as if Levin was going to have the game all its own way, three goals being netted by Mrs. Henderson in the first half. In the second speil Textile setLed down and two goals canie lTom Mrs. Johnson, making the score Levin 3, TexLile A 2. Textile persisted in the attack and it was only through the eiforts of Mrs. Murray and Miss Roe that they failed to reach the circle. Levin took the attack to Textile territory and after a scramble in the circle, Miss Tyree scored. The game ended Levin 4, Textile 2. The match between the two local men's teams was very scratchy. Far toi many obstructions spoilt the game. Levin were just a little too superior for the Colts, defeating them by 5 goals to 2.
