Beautifying Competition Results
Members of the judging committee who very kindly gave their services in connection with competitions organised by a local firm for the most improved street or section frontage in the borough, and th.e best kept street or section frontage, over the past three months expressed themselves vas having had a difficult task; Several return "loo'ks" were necessary before their decisions were made. 1 The results were as follows:> — Most improved: Mr. J. Moss, Senr., 1, Miss J. and Mr. D. Piggott 2, Mr. Noel Retter 3. Best kept: Mrs. King, Senr., 1, Mr. D. Hook 2, Mr. T. Wood 3. i' The organiser of the competition I expressed herself as being more than satisfied with the resurts iachieved, and wishes to thank all [those citizens who entered with the jspirit of co-'operation in improving the appearance of the borough streets. She hopes that they denved enjoyment from their really worthwhile achievements. Already several citizens have expressed the hope that a further competition could be arranged.
