Lavish Preparations For Commerce Ball
If the amount of preparation that is . going into the arrangements for the Levin Junior Chamber of 'Commerce's first venture into -the realms of dancing is any indication, then the Commerce Ball, to be held in the Regent Hall, Levin, on Friday evening of this week, should eclipse many previous func.ions held in this district. Lavish decorations will be the order and the supper arrangements will be on a grand scale, 'including poultry, crayfish, oysters, savouries and sandwiches. " To ensure the comfort of patrons, a limited number only will be admitted and in this connectiom reservations can be made at Mr.j F. H. Wade's leather and sports? goods sto're, where a few seats are still available. An excellent programme has been drawn up, with Billy Larkin's six-piece dance bandv as the spearhead, and with dancing" to commence at 9 p.m., continuing till 2 a.m., the funei.ion should go down as a milestone in the district's social functions this year. — Advt.
