Ohau School's Success At Sport
The Ohau School rugby and basketball teams journeyed tq Tokomaru on priday tp play combined Tokomaru-Qpiki teams. The basketball matches resulted as fqllqws: — Ohau A 22, TokqmaruQpiki A 1; Ohau B 4, Tokomaru.-' Opiki 4. The football match proved to be most exciting frgm start to finish, the Ohau fifteen being the victors by eight points to six. Some of the best scbQQl rugby seen fqr years Was witnessed, and both teams were evenly matched. The Ohau backs turned on a grand display, throwipg the ball about well. Turoa Lewis plgyed a great game at half-: back, while Bill Davis, Bill Kuiti, Bob Hammohd and Luke Kuiti gave 4 good display of open rugby. Rex Aanensen "played a hard game in the fqrwqrds.- Tjles were scored for Ohau by Bob Hammond and Ehillip Davis, while Bill Kuiti converted one. Tokomaru-Opiki scored a try and a pepfalty.
