Otaki Shield Winner Will Visit N.Z. Soon

-*> Mr. Duncan W. Moir, of Aberdeen, the fifth winner of the Otaki Shield presented to Robert Gordon College, Aberdeen, by the relatives of the late Captain A. BissettSmith, V.C., who was a pupil there, will arrive in Wellington toward the end of this month. Captain Bissett-Smith was master of the Otaki which on March 10, 1917, fought and all but destroyed the heavily-armed Oerman raider, Moewe. The Minister of Internal Aifairs, Mr. Parry, said that the New Zealand Shipping Company provided a return passage to' New Zealand annually to the winner of the shield, which goes to the pupil of the college who has proved preeminent in character, leadership and athletics. An itinerary had been arranged to enable Mr. Moir to see as much as possible of the outstanding features of New Zealand.
