^ Personal Mrs. Ruskin, of Auckland, is staying with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Grant, of Te Horo. Master Peter Larsen, son of Mr. an'd Mrs. M. Larsen, of Main Street, Otaki, has been discharged from hospital. Mr. J. H. Gow, of Waerenga Road, Otaki, left Paraparaumu by air on Friday morning for ? China. Mr. Gow expects to be away about a year. Master Edward Cobb, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Cobb, of Te Horo, who a short time ago suffered a broken arm through an accident, was last week unfortunate enough to again injure the same arm. Mr. W. Blair, of Hastings, Mr. and Mrs. E. Eaton, of Wellington, Mr. and Mrs. R. Hay, Senr., Mr. and Mrs. R. Hay, Junr., and Mr. A. Snooks, Senr., of Ohakune Junction, Mrs. and Miss May, of Raetihi, Mr. and Mrs. A. Snooks, Junr., of Auckland, were weekend guests oi Mr. and Mrs. R. Eaton, Beli Street, Otaki. Successful Dance The dance heid on Friday night at the Raukawa Hall, Otaki, proved very enjoyable. The hall was filled to capacity and the efforts of the promoters, the energetic Bandoliers marching team committee, were well rewarded. Dancers were loud in their praise of the splendid music provided by Miss Tahiwi and Mr. Upshall, assisted by three Otaki bandsmen. Extras were supplied by Mrs. Cudby and by Mr. Carter, and Mr. A. Lumley ably carried out the duties of M.C. Novelty dances were won by Miss Aroha Roiri and partner, and a competition by twin sisters, little Betty and Margaret Wadham, with Mrs. W. Wiison- second. Prize-winners at cards were: Messrs. R. Hakaraia (first) and W. Nikora (second), and Mesdames R. Roiri (first) and E. Ransfiel (second).
