Trials To Select Badminton Representatives
Teams have how been selected to play jn the Hoiwhenua Badminton Association's North-South trial matches. on Wednesday, July 14. The No. 1 teams are to play at Ohau and the No. 2 teams at Koputaroa. Any player unable lo participate is to nOtify the team eaptain as soon as possible. The teams are 'as foilows: — South No. 1 team— Ladies : Misses M. KarautLand M. Bevan, and Mrs. H. OHAU SCORES OVER MANAKAU Though the Manakau Badminton Club's B team won the deeision over Ohau B by 13 games to 11 in a match earlier in the season, Ohau turmed the tables when they met recently,. gaining a convincing win by 16 games to eight, The Ohau nysn proved too strong for their opponents, winning all their games except one doubles. Honours in the ladies' match went to Manakau, but Ohau predominated in the combined doubles. Detailed results were as foilows, Ohau players being mentioned first in each instance: — Men's singles: P.
