Britain Acts With Decision In Malaya
Received Friday, 10 a.m. LONDON, July 8. The Government was faeed with; a grave situation in Malaya and: was acting with decision, said the Coloniai Secretary, Mr. Creeeh Jones, in the House of Commons today. An attempt was being made in Malaya by murder and violence to destroy order and authority, reduce economic life to chaos and create some other control for Malaya. "In view of the vififica.tion of Britain and the wilful lies regarding the Malayan situation put i across from Moscow, I would say ithat this isn't the emergence of a ! nationalist movemeht which the ! British are engaged in putting i down." Mr. Jones added that the Government was determined feo destroy the gangsters and discover their sources of supply.
