Carole Landis Dead
NEW YORK, July 5. The police have reported that thefilm actress Carole Landis, aged 29, was found dead in her Paeific Palisades home today. The body was in a bedroom wliere the police also discovered a small bottle of sleeping .tablets. A detective said Landis left a note, and added: "This definitelv is suicide. " Landis recently iiled an action for divorce from her fourth husband, the theatrical producer Horace Schmidlapp. Her real uame was Frances Ridste. yjie was of Polish-Norwegian extraction.
