Dance at Te Horo The dance held at Te Horo on Friday night under the auspices of the Otaki Aces Basketball Club proved a great success. There was a splendid attendance, and the arrangements left nothing to be desired. A noveity dance was won by Miss R. Nicol and Mr. W. Johnson. Evidence of Spring The continued mild spell being experienced in Otaki and district has prompted the more optimistic to look for signs of an early spring. Considerabie new gxowth is evident on certain early varieties of fruit trees, while at Otaki Railway at least one Chinese gardener has a large area already planted in potatoes. Driver Fined As a resuit of a collision on the main road, Upper Hutt, last Saturday, Norman William Bentic Climie, ' aged 34, carrier, of Paraparaumu, pleaded guilty in the Magistrates' Court, Upper Hutt, to a charge of being intoxicated while in charge of a motor vehicle. He was fined £20 and his iicence was cancelled for 12 months.
